Introduction:
My name is Matej Skocic, I am 18 years old and this is my first year studying out of my country. I came from Bosnia and Herzegovina to finish my high school education. I play tennis in my free time and I see myself as a very good tennis player, also I enjoy skiing and playing some other sports such as basketball, soccer, volleyball etc. In the future I see myself studying in Europe, but I haven't decided yet where.
After reading Early Television Exposure and Subsequent Problems and Children as well as Frequent TV Watching Shortens Kids’ Attention Spans, I came to a conclusion that the first article is scientifically accurate and the second one is not. Reasons for this are that the first article is written by several psychological scientists and contains scientific methods and the research was done on several samples, so there is less probability that a mistake will be made during the examination, more examples are given. Second article looks more like a newspaper than a scientific article. It was written by a journalist so it should be taken with a dose of reserve, it includes less samples. They said that the Kaiser Family Foundation had a survey about this topic but they did not put results in an article. In my opinion I would rather read the first article because of previous mentioned reasons, but on the other hand I also think that most modern-age internet readers would enjoy the second article because it is intended for the most of the population.
To be completely honest I attended psychology lessons two years ago so I already knew most of the things I read in chapter 1 and 2, but I am looking forward to learning everything I already had, as well as to expand my knowledge to the next level.
