Hey Allison!
After reading your opinions about why people do not make it to the top two levels of the pyramid; you had very similar beliefs as I did. I believe that we live in a society where everyone is expected to meet an unrealistic standard that most cannot nor should reach. The belief that people should reach this standard supplys an individual with negative views from othe people as well as their own self-conscience view. Do you think that people today do not reach the higher levels of the pyramid as people 200 years ago did? In other words, is our modern society the predominant issue to blame for people's lack of self-worth and value? I believe that our overuse of computers and technology may be contributing to our poor state of mental well-being.
Thank you for your inshight,
Timothy Beck
