To improve your short term memory, you can do things such as taking good notes, with pictures that you create in your mind, and breaking big pieces of information into smaller chunks. Also make sure that you focus on active listening. Make lists where you are sure to focus on the beginning and end of the list. If you recite, and teach the information you learned to somebody else, it helps you retain all of that information. Make sure you stay organized while you do all of this, and take care of your body. Get plenty of rest, water, and food to nourish your body to be the best it can be. If you use all of these suggestions regularly, you will find it will help you work on your short term memory.

Some environmental experiences that have impacted my intelligence are my supportive parents and teachers. They have helped me while I have struggled or fallen behind on work, and pushed me to become the best version of myself that I can be.

Out of the eight intellegences, I think I most fit with bodily kinesthetic, naturalistic, and interpersonal. I am a very active person, and when I exercise it boosts my mental health and makes me more productive. I know what my body needs to function correctly. I think I am also naturalistic because I love learning about how the world and the environment work, and I care deeply about Earth's well being. I think I could also be classified as interpersonal because I understand other people well, and I know how to communicate with others well. I get along with most everyone because I know how to contribute ton the well being of others. I don't think I am very logical-mathematical. I have a hard time when it comes to logic and mathematics, and I excel more in things like history and English.

Hello Sara,

I appreciate your insight into the provided topics for this discussion. The advice you gave regarding short-term memory is very useful especially the idea of "pictures that you create in your mind", this allows the brain to create a more intimate relationship with the ideals that one is trying to remember. I believe that a teacher and parent's unspoken job is to influence and provide healthy environmental experiences including encouragement when you may be behind on work. Teachers have pushed me to take honor classes that I could not have fathomed such as Honors Chemistry (which is a true challenge for me). After reviewing your stronger intelligences you definitely seem to be a people person, therefore, have you considered becoming a therapist or nurse? With a strong background in listening and understanding others, you would be great at a career path such as the one suggested. Thank you for your insight.
