1. After reading the chapter on Memory, what can you do as a student to improve your short term memory?
2. After reading the chapter on Thinking and Intelligence, you learned that both nature (heredity) and nurture (environmental experiences) play a part in one's intelligence. What are some environmental experiences that have played a part in your intelligence or the intelligence of someone you know?
3. Looking at Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences in Chapter 6 (p. 235), he suggests there are 8 intelligences. Bodily-Kinesthetic, Spatial, Musical, Logical-Mathematical, Linguistic, Naturalist, Interpersonal and Intrapersonal. Which one of these intelligences do you have and which one is a challenge for you? Share only what you are comfortable sharing. It maybe helpful to view the video in this unit on Multiple Intelligences before answering this question.
